A new blood gas critical care analyzer with a broad test menu is ideal for multiple testing locations including the Lab, operating room (OR), intensive care unit (ICU) and emergency department (ED).

The pHOx Ultra chemistry analyzers are used in critical care, point-of-care, and stat testing. pHOx Ultra analyzers measure up to 20 tests including blood gases, electrolytes, hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), glucose, lactate, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), total bilirubin (tBil), and CO-oximetry. They feature auto-calibration, automated quality control, and automated maintenance.

The analyzer has a high resolution and large color touch screen that offers fast and easy operation. Bright color and graphic highlighting make it simple to read. Onboard, automated True quality control (QC) saves time and labor versus manual QC, and assures optimum analyzer performance.

The pHOx Ultra analyzer was developed and manufactured by Nova Biomedical (Waltham, MA, USA). Its complete onboard data manager can consolidate multiple, networked pHOx Ultras into a comprehensive database for capture, archiving, and extensive data reporting. It also provides a single hospital information system/laboratory information system (HIS/LIS) interface for multiple pHOx Ultras throughout a network, saving thousands of dollars in separate interface costs. Remote review and remote control of multiple, network connected analyzers can also be performed from the onboard Data Manager.
