LPA To Unveil Purchasing Trends Report at LabAutomation2010

LabAutomation2010, the American Laboratory Automation's (ALA; Geneva, IL, USA) 14th Annual Conference and Exhibition, will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, (Palm Springs, CA, USA) from January 23-27, 2010. The Laboratory Products Association (LPA; Alexandria, VA, USA) will hold a briefing at the meeting to unveil the preliminary results from its 2009 North American laboratory purchasing trends report at LabAutomation2010. The LPA briefing will take place on Monday, January 25, 2010.

ALA president Erik Rubin, Ph.D., said that the sharing of market data, trends, and analysis on purchasing laboratory equipment is essential information required by the scientific community from a tactical planning standpoint.

According to LPA executive director, Clark Mulligan, CAE (certified association executive), collaborative programs with scientific societies such as ALA help to solidify and strengthen the growing laboratory sciences industry. "We are thrilled to be partnering with ALA," said Mr. Mulligan. "Given the economic environment and the pending stimulus dollars going to R&D, the results of this report will be especially valuable and insightful for the members of both organizations."

The ALA is a worldwide organization representing leaders in all aspects of laboratory automation. It seeks to provide a greater understanding of the importance and value of automation technologies in laboratory settings, to advance science, and promote education related to laboratory automation.
