ALCOR Scientific (Smithfield, RI, USA) is demonstrating its innovative diagnostic instruments and medical devices for the healthcare industry at the 2022 edition of MEDICA, the world's largest trade fair for medical technology, being held from 14 to 17 November in Düsseldorf, Germany.

At MEDICA 2022, ALCOR is presenting iSED, a 20-position, fully automated ESR analyzer that produces results in 20 seconds using just 100µL of sample taken directly from the primary EDTA tube. This small sample volume makes the iSED ideal for pediatric and low volume samples. Primary tube sampling ensures sample and result traceability and decreases biohazard risk to the user. The results can be printed, saved to onboard memory, and/or transmitted directly to the LIS.

ALCOR is also demonstrating the miniiSED, a single position, fully automated ESR analyzer that uses the same technology as the iSED in a smaller footprint. The miniiSED produces results in just 15 seconds using only 100 µL of sample taken directly from the primary EDTA tube. The results can be printed, saved to onboard memory, and/or transmitted directly to the LIS. With the small sample volume and fast turnaround time in a minimal footprint, the miniiSED is the ideal ESR analyzer for small hospital laboratories, emergency rooms, specialty testing laboratories and POLs.
