An advanced staining instrument with state-of-the-art upgrades has been designed for ultimate flexibility and robust antibody staining with rich features for enhanced laboratory usability.

Biocare Medical (Pacheco, CA, USA) has introduced the intelliPATH+ advanced staining instrument, a newly upgraded system featuring the latest technological advancements. This fully open system allows for continuous random access along with immediate STAT capabilities, enhancing the workflow significantly. It is particularly efficient in immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining, providing increased speed, superior quality, and reduced waste. The intelliPATH+ is tailor-made for lab professionals who value the dependability of automated processes but require flexibility for specific needs. It features customizable protocols for each of its 50 slide positions, promoting both precision and efficiency.

The intelliPATH+ boasts a redesigned, scalable user interface that makes laboratory workflow more efficient. This user-friendly interface allows easy navigation with options for pre-set protocols or custom creation, including adjustable dispense volumes from 100µl to 600µl across three different zones. This customization ensures an efficient and personalized staining experience. The system meticulously controls every aspect of the staining process. When combined with Biocare Medical’s latest ARC decloaking chamber, it delivers robust, reproducible, and vivid staining results.

The ARC, specifically designed for Heat-Induced Epitope Retrieval (HIER) and compliant with in vitro diagnostic (IVD) standards, is indispensable for high-quality IHC and in situ hybridization (ISH) staining. It can hold up to 72 standard slides or 27 double-wide slides, offering a broad temperature range from 60°C to 121°C. This capability makes the ARC a crucial tool for both clinical and research settings, ensuring accurate and consistent results. The intelliPATH+, now labeled for IVD use, is available for purchase in the United States and selected international markets.
