Latest Generation of User-Friendly Micropipettes Boasts Improved Precision

A new line of micropipettes has been introduced that is intentionally shorter in design in order to improve the precision of hand movements when pipetting into small vials, microtubes, or microplate wells.

The Socorex line of Acura 826 XS manual micropipettes has recently been placed on the market by Wheaton Science Products (Millville, NJ, USA).

In addition to reduced length, these micropipettes feature an optimized shape to size ratio that facilitates superior drivability of the pipette and significantly improves precision. Hand fatigue has been greatly reduced by the use of a unique tightness lip seal that minimizes activation forces and provides for ultra-soft pipetting. The new Acura manual XS micropipette's patented "Justip" height adjustment system permits optimal fitting and ejection of a wide selection of tips. Tip ejection is facilitated by a low-pressure activation button.

Acura 826 XS micropipettes are autoclavable and fully assembled without recalibration. Each pipette is supplied with its own individual QC certificate affirming that it was manufactured in conformance with ISO 8655 and IVD 98/79 EEC directives. Thus, Acura micropipettes are suitable for use in laboratories that observe international quality standards such as current Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
