Boditech Med (Gang-won-do, Korea) presented its latest IVD solutions, including RDTs, fluorescence immunoassay tests, and PCR tests, at ECCMID 2022.

Boditech demonstrated its AFIAS-10 automated immunoassay analyzer with blood collection tube, including an all-in-one cartridge system. The CE Marked AFIAS-10 is a unique integrated sample-to-answer system that can execute 10 parallel tests for each different parameter. It provides a quick and simplified operation and reliable test results with automatically collection of sample from a blood tube. Also on display was Boditech’s ichroma II, a compact and easy-to-use, fluorescence based POCT immunoassay analyzer to measure the presence of various biomarkers for cardiac, cancer, hormones, infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, and metabolic diseases. Alongside this, Boditech presented ichroma III, a high-throughput immuno-analyzer that enables simultaneous testing for various parameters. ichroma III accepts cartridges for various biomarkers in random sequence and processes them in a preset temperature, even combines test parameters with differing incubation period.

At this year’s ECCMID, Boditech showcased its NuActor bench-top & automated nucleic acid (RNA/DNA) extraction system used with a ready-to-use cartridge that can be stored at room temperature as a table-top extractor. It can extract concentrated high-purity nucleic acids from a small volume of samples such as blood, cultured cells, and animal tissues quickly and easily. Visitors to Boditech’s ECCMID booth also experienced ExAmplar, a compact real time PCR that detects virus/bacteria quantitatively or qualitatively using ready-to-use cartridges. ExAmplar employs relatively fast thermal cycles (~40 sec) and can deliver the DNA and RNA test results in 30 and 45~55 minutes, respectively. The system runs with dedicated 8-well plates. The reagents for the test come in a dry format, which can be stored at room temperature.
